Closet Organization

share on social:

With my kids sharing a room the closet situation and their clothes easily gets out of hand.  I can never tell whose is whose and what size each one is.  This easy closet organization project is sure to get me and them in a better routine of keeping things tidy (or at least trying to).

Supplies:

Patterned Adhesive Vinyl

Closet Dividers

Closet Divider SVG cutting file (free download at the bottom of the post)

Clear Transfer Tape

Step One

There are several different routes you can take on using the dividers to organize.  In the live video below I suggest several options of ways that you can use the file.  Here is a short list to get your own ideas going.

Options and Ideas for Dividers:

Step Two

Once you have decided which route to take on the dividers and what will work best for your families organization, download the Free SVG below.  Then, using your Silhouette or Cricut, cut and weed your vinyl divider designs.

Helpful hint for Silhouette users:  When cutting patterned or printed vinyl I always increase my force a little bit in order to ensure a nice smooth, easy, weed.

Step Three

The last step is to use clear transfer tape and transfer your design onto the divider.  We demonstrate the best way to peel up transfer tape here.  Make sure to use clear transfer tape, so that you are able to see exactly where to line up the vinyl on the divider.  Check out more details of the various types of transfer tapes available here.

Those are so cute! It would be fun to make some to divide tank tops, short sleeves, long sleeves, dresses, etc. I may take this idea and embroider some separators!
