Valentine’s Day is for mushy stuff, or is it? These free funny Valentine SVG files are perfect for the none lovey-dovey type!

Today I wanted to offer a little change from the ordinary Valentine’s Day SVG files that you might find.  Here are seven free funny Valentine SVG files that are sure to lighten the mood whether you are celebrating the holiday or not.

Next to each of the mock-up photos, we give you ideas of projects to make, vinyl to use, and ways to spice up the design.  Want some free mock-up images of your own?  Head over here to download a few.

All of our files are available for personal or commercial use (up to 200 uses).  We do not allow distributing or sharing of the digital file itself or any print on demand.  (no Amazon merch, Red Bubble, Printful, etc).

Please feel free to share the direct link to this post with a friend or a group so they can come and download the files for themselves.  Those shares and word of mouth blesses our socks off and we are so very grateful for each and every one.

We always get tons of questions on fonts that are used in our designs.  Check out some of our favorite places to find fonts over here on this page.

Now, onto the funny Valentine SVG freebies. I had a little too much fun brainstorming these!

Warning:  Sense of humor needed for these funny
Valentine SVG files

During this time of year, we hear all too much about the love others have for their partners.  We see it all over social media and are inundated with that message in shows, movies, and books.

Anyone ever just feel like… OK, I tolerate you today?  LOL!  I thought putting this on a coffee mug was perfect.  This set of mugs would look awesome etched with this design!  I can see the social media pics now!  hehehehehehe

To etch I love to use 651 as my stencil (I feel like it gives it a great seal) and this etching cream.

This design would even be cute on a card to give your significant other.  Just make sure they know it is a joke first… well kinda. 😉

I think I laughed a little too hard at this particular funny Valentine SVG design.  While personally, I’m not a huge fan of dark chocolate I couldn’t resist.  I can see this design looking amazing with some flocked vinyl.  It would really add an extra dimension to the look.

My favorite shirts to use are these Bella Canvas ones.  They are super soft and seem to get more comfortable with each wash.  Make sure though when you are using the flocked vinyl to peel the carrier sheet cool and not hot.

I made that mistake on FB live when I was making these funny socks and now will never forget.

Think it’s a coincidence that these two words rhyme?  I think not.  This design is calling for some holographic or glitter HTV!  Make a statement and still be festive all at the same time.  When using glitter HTV though it can be super tricky to weed.  The vinyl itself is thicker and so it is much harder to see the cut lines.

A couple of things that I have found to make my life easier with glitter, is weeding with a light pad beneath or sprinkling some baby powder on the back of the design.  The powder will settle in the cut lines and you will be able to see where to weed sooooo much easier.  The light pad is great for weeding anything though and it’s fun to use when practicing lettering or drawing.

The lightweight, low-profile BrightPad makes crafting easier while reducing eye strain.

This one is just a standard checklist that I thought most moms would get a chuckle from.  We are no longer so worried about the single or taken side but more like give me a glass of wine and let me relax.  I can totally see this looking great on a wine glass

I love the colors and fun vibe these stemless ones give off here.  It would make a cute friend gift for Valentine’s Day.  Make sure if you are putting it on a wine glass though to use 651.  We talk about all the different types of vinyl here in this post.  And I love to use paper transfer tape when applying.

Head over here where we give you a basic guide to all the different types of transfer tape.

This design is a nice pair with the one above.  I can even see it being a mother-daughter shirt pair because my teenage daughter saw this eating chocolate-free SVG and now wants me to make her a shirt for Valentine’s Day with it.

Use some of this exclusive Valentine’s Day Vinyl to create an adorable shirt for yourself or your little (or not so little) one.  This set of heat transfer vinyl also comes in half sheets too so you can get a variety of prints and try out several different types.

This design is great for someone who wants to look like they are in a Valentine’s Day mood, but only at first glance.  The hold your breath on the bottom is purposely small so this free Valentine’s SVG file can work double duty.  It can be spirited or a little bit sassy.

If you are curious on exactly how to line up a multi-colored design like this one make sure to check out this post.  We walk you through the entire process and even show you a video on that post for how to do it.  We spill the secrets of how to make sure all of your layers are lined up exactly like you see on a mock up.

Ever have one of those days where everyone sucks?  No… just me huh?  Well I love this design because even when everyone around you may suck there is always that one person who sucks just a little bit less.  That one person who just gets you.

I can see this being a funny decal to go on a frame like this one or even a little sign to go in a home office.  We did a decal on a shadow box for the holidays here and that’s what I’m envisioning with this one on the bottom or side of the frame.

The same idea and place the picture off-centered just slightly to contrast the decal on a corner or edge.  Let your creativity go wild.  🙂

If you make a sign with it you can either do HTV on wood (we played with that a little bit here in this post) or you can stencil it with Oramask and paint.  I prefer to use chalk paint for sign projects because of the thickness.

I have personally found it helps it to not bleed as much but acrylic paint like any of these will also work fine.  I’ve done both and while the looks are very different, they are both very attractive as a finished product.
